Researching COVID to enhance recovery (“RECOVER”): Adult Chest CT Reading Center

Grant support: 1OT2HL161847

PIs: Drs. Raúl San José Estépar and George Washko

Project Information:

The RECOVER Chest Adul CT Reading Center enables the intake, review, processing, and provision of non-protocolized computed tomographic (CT) scans, protocolized non-contrast enhanced research-based CT scans and contrast enhanced dual energy CT scans (DECT).  The number and diversity of RECOVER clinical centers requires a highly experienced, integrated multidisciplinary team with expertise in the dissemination and training for standardized imaging protocols, multicenter data aggregation and curation, visual interpretation, data harmonization and engagement of the RECOVER network with at-the-elbow support for data utilization. To assure utility of the resultant image data, basic metrics will be generated with meta-imaging describing anatomical compartments. We have assembled a highly experienced team that spans four institutions (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, University of Iowa, National Jewish Health, and Columbia University) to meet these needs.
