Associate Physician, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital
I am a physician investigator whose research focuses on two major areas: 1) leveraging novel quantitative computed tomography (CT) image analysis techniques to improve the early detection and risk assessment of chronic lung diseases, and 2) harnessing big data and machine learning to gain insights into the mechanisms of serious illnesses. Clinically, I practice in the Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit where I provide expert care to patients with a variety of severe diseases, including those with end-stage pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema as well as patients with ARDS who require advanced support such as extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
